Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
